Meet the team.

Nathan Martin, founder of Eugene Networks
  • I founded Eugene Networks in 2015. After working in the IT industry, I knew there was a better way for businesses to get solid IT service. The joy comes from thinking creatively and strategically and connecting the dots between our clients and the Eugene Networks team.

Family is the most important thing to me in this life; anything I do is to take care of family. My direct family is my wife and two daughters. Each one of my staff and clients I strive to treat as an extension of my family. You trust me to take care of a portion of your lives.

Working with technology is great but taking care of our clients is why I do it. I love building the relationships and having that human connection that often gets lost in business. We are all here to do our part in society, so why not make some friends along the way. I’m fortunate to say, I love every day that I come to work.

When I’m not working, I spend time with my wife and two amazing children. When I find the time, you’ll find me hiking, playing disc golf, and snowboarding

I’ve been working with computers for years. When my brothers were out playing, I was inside tinkering. What started as a hobby became my passion.

I enjoy working on new issues and the challenge of solving them that comes with IT. The best reward for me though is that I get to help people solve problems so they can get back to what is important.

Many things need your attention throughout the day, and it is my goal to make sure that your computer is not one of them.

Outside the office, I’m either at my computer, enjoying the outdoors with my family, exploring a new restaurant, or taking my dog to the park.

I found my passion for IT by accident. In college, I worked a work study job in the computer lab and IT Help Desk at the school. In this process, I ended up falling in love with helping people and solving challenging technical problems. In that position I learned the importance of communication: making sure that I understand what the customer is trying to do with technology and making sure that the customer understands what I'm going to do to help them. Since then, I've put over a decade of IT experience under my belt and I continue to hone my troubleshooting and system design skills every day.

Working on computers started as a hobby when I was a kid but grew into a job I thoroughly enjoy doing. I’m a tinkerer at heart and computers give me ample opportunities to tinker and figure out new puzzles. I enjoy helping people with their computer issues and finding the best solutions to unique problems. I give my all to every problem no matter how big or small.

During off hours I enjoy playing games and go disc golfing fairly often with the occasional camping trip thrown in.

  • L2 Engineer

Technology has always been my calling. It all started out in my childhood taking apart electronics, engines, anything that moved or used electricity. That interest eventually evolved to building computers. I interned at my local school district IT department during my high school years and began developing my troubleshooting skills, and very importantly, my people skills. Helping people is in my nature, and IT gives me an opportunity to make people’s lives a bit easier every day. I have been in the IT world for over a decade, striving to continuously improve my technical abilities and to further develop myself to provide the best possible support to anyone, every time.

Away from the office, I enjoy camping, hiking, mushroom hunting, riding ATV’s and tinkering in my garage. I enjoy my free time with my wife, dog, and two cats.

  • L3 Engineer

Been in love with technology my whole life. It started in childhood— taking apart electronics, going around the house saying “I fixed it” when I indeed did not, and going to work with my dad.

That passion eventually evolved to help building and maintaining complex networks. I interned at my dad’s company, helping out in the Summers and whenever I could working with Engineer Team, Networking Team, Helpdesk Team.

If it had anything to do with technology, I wanted to learn it. I have been in the IT world for longer than I can remember, but my passion and love for technology grows every day and in return makes me strive to stay up on the current trends to offer our clients the best support and solutions out there.

Away from the office, I am happiest when I am spending time with my daughter, wife, 2 dogs, and livestock. My Hobbies include hunting, boating, fishing, dirt biking, snowmobiling, and football season.

Growing up I was told I had the ‘knack’. I was always the one my family would turn to if the computer froze or if the internet was down. I often would help my teachers when Excel or PowerPoint wouldn’t work and tutor my classmates on doing presentations and spreadsheets.

This passion led me to building my first computer while in elementary school and studying programming and networks throughout high school.

After high school I went to art school but found it was not something I wanted to do for a living and instead took an internship with a local electronics recycler and refurbisher.

Here I brushed up on my skills and found the aspect of helping my community here in Eugene to be very rewarding and I knew I found my calling. 10 years later I am still working in IT and still thrilled with every new challenge and puzzle that I find, and my passion for helping others has only grown with my skillset.

When I’m not trying to save the world from tech frustrations I like to draw, paint, swim, play video games and spend time with my wonderful partner, my amazing son and my precious English Bulldog puppy.

Technology has always been an interest of mine. From a young age, I wanted to know how things worked and I followed my curiosity by learning about computers and other electronics. As I got older, I realized that the best aspect of technology is its capacity to make people’s lives better and easier. I made it my goal to use the skills and abilities I’ve learned to help as many people as I can.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing video games, and cooking. I also have a dog who loves to go for walks and meet new people with me.
